It’s Christmas time and I love decorating all the rooms of our home. The den is our TV watching room which has somewhat low ceilings…. (Why would someone do this?) so, I’ve tried to make it a cozy look with a low sitting leather chesterfield sofa, upholstered chairs, ottoman and a lot of throws! There is a built-in bookshelf circa 1960. The wood panelling and built-in have a green glaze of some sort on them. I’m sure it was trending in 1960.:-) For years, we’ve put our “FUN” tree in our den with colored lights, my kids’ Christmas ornaments from school, and all of our whimsical and cutesy ornaments. I just can’t keep them tucked away in a box. My kids love seeing their “old” ornaments on the tree each year and every year I hear, “Oh, remember this one, Mom!” Makes my heart happy. I suppose I’ll still be putting this tree up when they are in their 30’s…
Yes, we own a Christmas Village…. and I love it!
I just can’t seem to get away from the traditional Christmas colors of red and green. They bring me joy! Happy decorating. Caprice~Cailin Design
