Landscaping Progress

This summer we had a very large, very old oak tree removed that was in the middle of a dilapidated deck. Cutting down trees is not on my Favorite Things To Do list, but it had to be done. Being much too close to the house, fear of it blowing on top of and crushing the house someday, and blocking our view of the water were the issues. My kids and I layed sod, bought partially dead (they were half price 😉) Dwarf Alberta Spruce and worked to make this area a presentable space. I’m pleased to say, after a few months of TLC, the Spruce have survived! To perfect this area, I think it needs a large fountain or Greek statue placed directly on the old oak stump!
