It’s interesting to discover what people splurge on. We all have our reasons and justifications for spending on the things we do. I’ve found it to be a very personal subject, one that is intertwined with who we are and what motivates us. My family, from when I was a child, chose to splurge on travel and experiencing life outside of our own little niche in southeast Kansas. I am forever grateful to my parents for exposing me to the world, for opening my eyes to different cultures, customs, foods and design styles. For me, personally, there is no greater experience than viewing the world from a different vantage point than the one we are currently living. I have a book that my mother gave me, sitting on my coffee table, that represents my love of discovering the diversity of this world, from geographic diversity to human diversity, it’s called, Images From The World, People.
