My neck of the woods is full of artists! As I was thinking about who I knew that I could blog about with creative talent, I was pleasantly surprised that my list just keeps getting longer and longer. I’m spotlighting Jeff McCandless who owns McCandless Custom Woodworks. He’s a master woodworker. He has been working with wood since high school and is currently a Building Trades teacher. Jeff feels that much of his talent was learned through trial and error. I’m currently on Jeff’s books for him to build a fireplace mantel for my sunroom, can’t wait! Several years ago he built my living room mantel and I still look at it, today, and consider it a timeless, beautiful piece. Here are some of Jeff’s creations. Enjoy!
