I don’t have a screened-in porch in my own home, but my neighbor, who just happens to be the person who gave birth to me, does. My sister and I spent a lot of time out on this porch while growing up. We played pet store here, king of the mountain, Barbies, matchbox cars, jacks, and slipped more than once because of our wet feet from swimming! Good times. When the weather is just right, there is nothing quite like sitting on a porch, morning, noon or night. It’s a wonderful addition to a home if you are needing a place to relax, entertain or just enjoy the outdoors without officially being outdoors.
This chandelier is a favorite of mine.
A fan is a necessity on a porch when living in Kansas.
A Dutch door is not only functional, it’s a great design element. I have some wonderful memories of life on this particular porch. I hope you can partake in making some of your own, whether it be on your own porch or a porch of someone you love.
