Billie Jo Adams is another artist friend of mine. How did I get so lucky? She started painting about 5 years ago and now has a business called The Craft Shack on Rt. 66. She lives right on Route 66 and has her studio there on her property. Her paintings are fun and full of life. She claims she paints on “junk”. Old shovels, luggage, muffin tins, barn wood, etc. are her work surfaces. I own a couple of Billie Jo’s signs, a turquoise stag head on barn wood and a sunflower welcome sign. Her work is original and can be purchased at a reasonable price. Here are just a few of her pieces. Enjoy!
You can contact Billie Jo by “Liking” her Facebook page, The Craft Shack on Rt. 66, and personal messaging her. You can also purchase some of her pieces at The Fancy Farmer in Baxter Springs, Kansas and Pickers Post in Galena, Kansas. Who doesn’t like an original gift made by an artist?
