Decorating a space can be quite challenging. Every now and then I hit the bullseye the very first time (If only this were always the case!). Sometimes, I’m pretty close to hitting the target of a look I’m going for and then other times, I completely miss the mark. There’s no rhyme or reason to it… it just comes together or it doesn’t. I’m pretty confident that I’m learning from my previous decorating blunders, but I sure haven’t reached expert status by any stretch of the imagination. Here’s my autumn mantel. I decided to decorate my living room mantel this year with metal and colored glass. My satisfaction lies on a spectrum ranging from dissatisfied to satisfied. I’m at about 89% satisfaction, as of right now. 
It may take seventeen times of rearranging the pieces on your coffee table or mantel to get it just right, but once you’ve reached a particular level of satisfaction that your eye is looking for, you’ll know it.
