For the record, there were no animals harmed in the making of the products you will be seeing in this blog! It’s all synthetic fur! I have to admit, I love faux fur and always have. It’s trending now in both the fashion and home decor industries. Just go shopping and you’ll see it in all its glory. People have mixed emotions about faux fur and although I love it, I do have to say, “A little goes a long way”. Here are just a few ways we can add it to our decor without looking like a taxidermist workshop.
A lovely ball of fur from Pier 1. Adding texture to our rooms is what faux fur does, which is a key component of decorating if we don’t want our rooms to look flat.
This faux pelt on a Bombay chest adds just enough softness to this area.
A white fur vanity stool and fur pillow from ROSS Dress For Less are recent additions to my youngest daughter’s bedroom.
Throw pillows can be placed in any room. It’s a simple and inexpensive way to add fur to our decor.
This fur throw from Target is kept at the foot of my bed. I usually put it away during spring and summer, but not always. Please excuse the wrinkles in the comforter that I did not see. I’m learning that the camera picks up EVERY detail! #newbloggerproblems
This vanity stool is a T.J. Maxx buy. We’ve put it in my oldest daughter’s bedroom. It works well with the black and grey and all the hard surfaces she has in her room.
I have faux fur in almost every room of my home with the exceptions of the bathrooms and kitchen, although I am absolutely not opposed to putting it in those spaces! Fur adds interest by giving texture to a room. It just might be something you want to bring into your home.
Happy decorating! Caprice~Cailin Design
