Thinking outside the box is tricky for some of us when it comes to design, but it can definitely add interest in a room if we are willing to do it. This mirrored chest is longer and taller than most nightstands. One might not think to use it next to a bed, but I think it works perfectly in this room, adding something a little different. This piece came from the As-Is area at Kirkland’s, HALF OFF because of a couple of nicks in the wood! I never ever bypass the As-Is section without checking it out for great finds!
Another jewel of a chest is this lovely antiqued gold piece. It’s a Pier One purchase, but is discontinued. It’s quite lovely and a favorite of mine, even though I don’t own it! (Still trying to convince my dear mother that she needs to give it to me.) This piece has not been put in its official place as of yet, but will be going next to a bed, as well.
We recently added this mirrored nightstand to my oldest daughter’s bedroom. It’s smaller than the previous chests shown, but is still an eye-catcher as you walk in the room.
Find an interesting mirrored piece to incorporate into your home. They can be placed in any room to update and add excitement to your space.
Happy decorating! Caprice~Cailin Design
Keep up the good work. Can’t wait to see more posts.
